Spacefish-
Solid groove, like the progression/chord changes, the clash of sounds made me think of Run The Jewels at the beginning, hip hop groove then the metal riffs, nice juxtaposition.
Thought the change of pace in the middle to motorik Neu beat works great, love the bass line too, synth pad swells are lush. Great jam to finish-
Maybe some of the synth sounds could be a bit darker, rolled back on filter a little but the end is pure Future Days by Can vibes, which is ace!
Voyage 1
Vintage vibes! Great circular beat- like the drums are doing a forwards roll on a Psilocybin gym mat- really good.
I like the way the parts snake in and out, very complimentary, nowt's overplayed, the filtering, watery effects on guitars are lovely, great mono-soloing on synths too.
It's good, if you were ever to mix it again, I'd be inclined to have some drop outs or cuts to silence/ambient sound and then jump the grooves back in. Nice one.
Child of Tomorrow-
This one grabbed me straight away- looooove the afrobeat riddims and perc and the way it drops straight in, kinda wanted it to go heavy and expansive after that but then, it started to take on a kinda Air vibe, some soft French voyaging which i fink is most pleasing to thine ear. It's Moogy.
The Least Obvious Flower
Nice organ. ;-) Very cool and spatial, again the parts are great, bass line, organ, leads and Geets all nicely balanced, drums are epic mate, like the way there's less harmonal resolve/ and the slight dissonance ion the organ trails are sweet.
These tracks sound really confident to me and kind of unwind with an easeful, dare I say it tasteful maturity, be great to hear this live, I'd be into it. Wah as well.
When Stars Collide
Aw love a bit of detune- nice minimal start with the rolling bass and darker ambience, call and response is sweet between geet and synth lead too.
I is getting an SAW/Eno feel on this one, really cool.
This is a cool sound, I know there's a tonne of influences ref points I may be missing but overall I most like how it sounds really in the moment and easeful, fun and not overwritten/overplayed
Epic Synth and Drum adventures
A Spacey, Psyche, Emily Bikey, Analoguely Likey from me!
